Por otra parte, multitud innumerable de imágenes creadas por la antigua plástica mexicana, desde la olmeca en la figuración de rostros humanos, hasta la azteca en su Tláloc, su Tlaltecuhtli, su magna Coatlicue, malamente identificada como la imagen de la madre de Huitzilopochtli, representan con rasgos primordialmente naturalistas, la unión allí descrita: dos serpientes unidas a un ser humano.
