Es indagar en el presente a través del pasado; es sumergimos en un proceso de recuperación de nosotros mismos; es la razón de la promoción de la memoria histórica como agente dinámico y la única promesa de continuidad, por lo que el análisis de la memoria obliga al historiador a aceptar que estudia el tiempo más que el pasado.



    Existen datos, recuerdos, documentos, en fin, testimonios que conforman discursos; en ellos se revelan aspectos que por años se habían callado por ser parte de la vida cotidiana, y su silencio obedecía a la falsa creencia de que eran superfluos, por lo que no se pensaba rescatarlos para el quehacer histórico. El estudio de fenómenos regionales o microhistóricos ha suscitado el interés por utilizar fuentes tales como relaciones de viaje, crónicas, memorias, cartas, tarjetas postales y todos los documentos que puedan ofrecer alguna lectura de la época que interesa analizar.



    Es por ello que desde este presente hemos hecho un primer intento por estudiar el tiempo de esta Escuela, así como sus espacios. Los personajes: maestros, trabajadores y alumnos, han sido y serán los ejes sobre los que se construye esta casa de estudios, así que a partir de ellos y de sus vivencias tratamos de dar forma a una pequeña historia. La idea surgió para celebrar los 25 años de la Escuela Nacional de Estudios Profesionales Acatlán, así que desde este espacio queremos dejar testimonio de la formación de esta institución.



    Hacer la historia de esta Escuela es contribuir a mantener vivo el recuerdo. Es no olvidar los orígenes que nos dan presente, y que han quedado escritos en documentos y en la memoria de cada uno de los individuos que han tenido que ver con ella."
